S505 - Arran & Ayrshire
Although a true island, Arran is enveloped by the mainland, and so is also found in this section.
Transfer from Edinburgh or Glasgow to take the ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick on the Isle of Arran. Overnight in a local Brodick hotel.
On day 2, a full day tour around the northern part of the island, including visits to Brodick Castle & Gardens, the island's whisky distillery at Lochranza, and finishing with a stop at Arran Aromatics. Overnight in Brodick.
On day 3, a morning tour of the southern part of Arran, including one of the island's dairy companies, before taking the ferry back to Ardrossan on the mainland. Overnight in a local Ayr hotel.
On day 4, free time in the morning to experience Ayr's extensive shopping areas or the peaceful seafront. In the afternoon a visit to Robert Burns' birthplace in Alloway. Overnight in Ayr.
On day 5, visits to Culzean Castle and Threave Castle, and their gardens, with a final overnight in Dumfries.
Day 6: Transfer to Glasgow or Edinburgh
